Lots of snow in the mountains this year. The Bow has been as high as 450+ m3/s; is still 195 m3/s today. With Mark and John McB.; on the water (Hwy 24 bridge boat launch) at about 10:30 a.m; good steady action until mid-afternoon when the wind comes up and the fish go down. We are, of course, pounding BRB's. I land a honker of a 'bow at Grinnell's corner, while reeling in my line. Is another hot day. Heat wave in Alberta this July --- really dry in central Alberta. We float deep into the reserve; run out of gas on the way up! Only a mile to the launch, so we hump the boat upstream like the Voyageurs. Sheesh. Home by 9:30 or so.
