Littering on Navarre Beach is a problem common to many Florida beaches. Shown below are (117) photos I shot on July 22, 2007 between 7:29 a.m. and 8:26 a.m. And the photos shown certainly do not show all the photos I shot on July 22. The litter you see on our beach was most likely left on the beach the day before or during the night. The location of this litter is from the Fishing Pier and about 1,000 feet to the east.
It is against the law to litter on Navarre Beach – the fine is $500.00.
To report a litter problem on Navarre Beach call the Santa Rosa County Sherriff’s Office at 983-1100.
Seems like you too are realizing just how much trash is left on our beautiful beaches. During the "peak season" on Panama City beach, we have Canadians actually filling up huge trash bags daily... of trash left behind by fellow Americans. What is sad is that if you mention "littering" people don't even bat an eye anymore. We've become such a wasteful "non-caring" society, that everything we touch becomes tarnished. Wonderful gallery!
