Navarre Beach Littering - June 18, 2007

Only YOU Can Prevent beach Litter!

Littering on Navarre Beach is a problem on many Florida beaches. Shown below are (16) photos I shot on July 18, 2007 between 7:46 a.m. and 8:03 a.m. And the photos shown certainly do not show all the photos I shot on July 18. The litter you see on our beach was most likely left on the beach the day before or during the night. The location of this litter on the beach is in front of one of the premiere high rise condos about one mile west of the Fishing Pier.

It is against the law to litter on Navarre Beach – the fine is $500.00.

To report a litter problem on Navarre Beach call the Santa Rosa County Sherriff’s Office at 983-1100.

I have a similar gallery, it is a shame that the slobs of this world create photo ops for us. A few of the regular walkers in my local water front park, myself included, pick up after the misguided uncaring few. I once watched a young man standing not more than five feet away from a trash can just toss his takeout coffee cup on the ground and walk away. Unbelievable!

Thanks for making these photos available to the public. Do you think the litter was left on the beach by condo owners, their guests are renters? Anyway it is a disgrace and the people that do this should spend a night in jail.

This is so very sad, we see the very same thing when diving, people just throw things away. Wish they would take more time to care.
