even small bonefish take quite a bit of getting in. after they take the fly they race off across
the flats, into deeper water if there is some around, for say 100ft, most of the time they will
start to use up quite a bit of backing, slow down, then the angler can get some line back.
when they get close they usually take off again for another run, and the retrieve must start
again. this sometimes happens a third time before his head can be got out of the water and
the barbless hook can be removed.
