Thanks Keith for this site. Best childhood I could have ever had. My Father (George Duncan) was an helicopter instructor for Southern Airways. We moved to Camp Wolters in 1957. It was a wonderful place to grow up and make great friends. I loved living on the base and having everything a kid could want right there. Thanks for the Memories.

Thanks so much for this site, Keith. Today my father (Jay Vizer would have been 92. He was based at Camp Wolters in the 1940's. He was a Chiropodist (now referred to as a Podiatrist) on the base. My parents were married at the Baker Hotel and my mother joined him on the base for the remainder of his time he served in the Army. I now live not too far from where the base was located (in Frisco, TX) and hope to make a journey back in time to see what little remains of the base and the surrounding area that both my parents had substitute names for.

My father was stationed at Wolters Field in the early 50's. We lived on base housing (first house to the right, directly across from the MP Station. Do you have any photos of the housing area? I enjoyed looking at these photos. Thanks.

Hi Keith

My father was stationed at Ft.Wolters in 1967, and I was born at the Beach Army Hospital, at that time.

Both my father and my mother has now passes away, and I wonder if there are anyone that new my father, and can tell me something about the time when he took the helicopter education then.

I wonder if there are anyone that could

Your photos are fantastic. I was looking at your aviation pictures (F18 = WOW), and I can see you really master the art of photography.
This is my first time in this site, and I will keep coming back; so please, keep posting.

Keith, great photos of the old Fort Wolters. I am a history buff and study about these old abandoned bases across Texas. It is amazing that such a big and busy place is effectively no more...Thanks for the photos and great photography...Greg Potts/McKinney Tx

Hi Keith,
I am interested in purchasing one of your photos from the Air Force vs TCU women's soccer game on Oct 8, 2009. Would that be possible and if so, how would I do so?

Thank you, Jeannie Shanklin
Rick Teschendorf 24-Nov-2009 00:02
Keith,

I was wondering if you had any picture of the current year 2009 airshow? I have viewed your work, and actually, one of them ( f-16 over NAS Fort Worth my old unit) is my screen saver.

Your photos of the Tarrant Co. Courthouse are amazing! Those night-time shots are SO pretty! My parents have traveled over Texas taking photos of courthouses trying to get photos of as many as possible - they have most of them now. I had not seen a night-time photo of one before, though, and it gives a beautiful perspective to the building not seen during the day. Do you sell your photos? Enjoyed the rest of the photos as well, esp. the aviation.

Keith, your shots are very good! Here in Amarillo we see F-18's, AWACs, KC-135 tankers, C-5's, and of course, V-22 Ospreys. I have a few shots in my galleries. I don't often get the chance to shoot up close, but I hope to get some good shots at Cannon on the 10th.

Keep up the good work. :)
