The S222 links Florence with Siena and is known as the "Chianti Way" as it passes through the Chianti wine-growing area.
From Siena to Asciano following the N438 the landscape in Le Crete is characterized by cypress trees, planted to provide windbreaks
along roads and around isolated farms.
