When I first went into this church, on Ash Wednesday, I fell in love with it. It was so charming, and the Reverend was so charming and humble and adorable...I had meant to go to a service there since we first moved to Nyack, and I guess everything happens at the right time, because now is when I was READY to find a church to go to. I brought John to a service there that Sunday and said, I thought about our getting married HERE, and he nodded in agreement immediately. I had thought that since he was Catholic he might be hesitant, but he said the church "feels" catholic, so it's alright by him. And if you go to any Episcopal service, actually, you would think you're in a catholic service because it runs almost exactly the same way!
This church is rumored to be the same architectural plan as an abbey in England, scaled down, which may explain why there's no plans on file and the incredible sense of awe and peace you get when going inside. I love the stonework (as does John) outside, the massive stained windows, and particularly the fleur de lis.
