Message from Bill Smith
I'm new to the world of photography. I took pictures for the school paper back in the 80's with a Yashika FX3 but that's about it. I've had different digital P&S cameras over the years. The first being a Sony Mavica and last/current being a Minolta Z2. My current dslr is a Canon Digital Rebel (EOS 350D). I love this camera. I'm spending a lot of time just learning now. I never use the 'auto' setting, although by the looks of some of my captures, I should...grin.
The great thing about digital is the ability to take pictures at different settings to see what difference it makes, with instant results and without the added cost of developing. I shoot everything in RAW and I'm using Photoshop CS2 for post-processing.
I'm trying to keep all my accessories Canon. It costs more but I think in the long run, it'll be the right move.
