Macro with Helios 40, made in 1961

Lens needs service, but at least it is not internally misaligned.
It is a heavy beast, with a tiny DOF and a tiny focus ring (smart choice).
Wide open it is dreamy but sharp if you get the focus right. Stopped down it is as sharp as it gets.
Except for "Twins" (stopped down to ~f4-~f5) all pictures are wide open and with 12mm extension tube.
Except for "Pine Anemone I" (Sharpened a bit) and "Tree Bark Dune" (just a crop), all images are jpeg straight out of the camera (canon 400d), re-saved in gimp at 92% quality to save space.
