A visit to Papplewick Pumping Station in Nottinghamshire on a day when it was steaming. I first visited when I was nine years old (35 years ago as Dad kept telling everyone... no secrets about my age in this family then ;). It made a big impression on me one way and another so we arranged a big family day out in September coming from all different corners of the UK. Papplewick provided all we needed, a beautiful picnic spot, fascinating things for those of an engineering bent and play things for all of us, engineers or not.
Here there are photographs from all the family, not just mine. Hope they forgive me but we all had different views and ways of photographing. I recently took a VTC course and have used a lot of what I learned to modify (improve?) some of the shots.
