They had told him the place was called 'The Devil's Jawbone' and warned him not to make the journey. But that had been days ago. It seemed a long time since Micah had seen anything living other than the strange glowing lichen that added it's eery orange light to that of the lowering red sun on the horizon. Nevertheless, the unpleasant feeling of being observed would not leave him and the possibility of something non-living observing him was enough to make Micah urge his weary horse onwards though the hope of finding shelter in this place seemed very slim.
