Elkhorn Mountains

Over near Sumpter are the Elkhorn Mountains. Pretty much on the top of the mountains is a trail that goes right along the ridge line. It is not a bad trail but it is not for the faint of heart and if you have a fear of heights -- don't bother going. Plus the road up to the trail is not for the faint of heart either -- be sure to go in a jeep -- it is not a car kind of road we have a 4x4 truck we made it but even my husband said he would never go on that road unless he was in a jeep.
