Hi Kathy, I don't know how I found your galleries, but I'm so glad I did! I keep finding myself coming back. I am thinking of taking the DAA classes but I work in Photoshop, not Painter. I'm wondering if I should take the leap. Your amazing artwork makes me want to paint again! Are the classes very difficult? Best, Cyndy L

Hi Kathy, I always appreciate your visits to my galleries, and your comments. Yes I do have a Canon EOS 5D now. It is a brilliant camera, it does every thing that I expected of the 10D & 20D but they never came up to my expectations. I recommend you to get one when you can. Best wishes for Christmas........... Kathy, the Sony 707 was my first real digital and I loved it. It was light, the lens opened up all the way down f2.0 and it takes great candids since you can hold it away from your body like a twin lens reflex. I used it for a number of years before buying my Nikon D70. I saw that you have photos taken with both the 717 and 828 so you know what neat cameras these are. In a moment of self indulgence a month or so ago I bought the next camera in this line, the Sony DSC R1. It's bigger than the old cybershot camera but very easy to use. I think I'm really going to like it in informal situations and portraits. Being able to steady the camera against a table or my body has always been good for slower exposure times. I made it a point to visit there after seeing a gallery of that area elsewhere on pbase. I hope to get back there this fall and get some sunrise/sunset pictures. It is truely a photographers dream.
