Italy: Lake Como, Italia Photos

I learned from my research at my favorite travel site, Slow Travel, that there is much disagreement as to whether people visiting Lake Como prefer Varenna or Bellagio as their prime base. Seems like those who prefer tourist amenities go for Bellagio. Those who are less fancy choose Varenna. I'm one of the latter. In peculiar synchronicity, the fellow behind my little balcony at Albergo Milano in Varenna turned out to be the close friend of folks I'd gone to elementary school with, and he lives not 10 miles from where I do. Strange but true.

We didn't get to Lake Como. Now, seeing your photos, I wish we had, but time is so short
when trying to decide ... I just love your eye, so will enjoy these until there's more time.

ah como ..i swam across the lake from tremezzo to belagio... i miss the lake...
