Birds at Dusk 11-04

A group of cowbirds and grackles returning to roost. There are hundreds that return and depart every day. They make quite a loud noise as they set out in smaller groups at sunrise.

I do not know why digital pictures become unsharp like this one. The birds were in sharp focus when I downloaded it. I guess that is a flaw in the digital format.

very cool! i got a light like this last night in the west, no birds... but that same light then hit the portland head light all pink! ill post it tohttp://pbase.com/donverger/portlandheadlight a bit later vote! i so love the dotting of birds here and the wires flying in a similar way
