One thing I know, from having been here during construction - the lake, and ponds were man made - dug by tractors and spoon shovels machines. This place has rich orange clay and I can remember as a kid, seeing the silty water of the future lake, thinking - I'm not swimming in that!

Nice view. It really does seem ol' Jim and Tammy didn't appreciate what they had until it was lost. God's pretty generous just so long as you don't abuse what he gives you. When abuse does take place, "the lord giveth and the lord taketh" is an appropriate phrase that pops in mind.
