This shelter is to help the animals. Mostly they are left in the streets by their previous owners and collected by the municipality. The Shelter has limited sources provided by the municipality and they accept donations. Their link is

do you know about the dog that had his ears cut off? the two guys names are Hasan Kuzu and Neset Yaman. they are on facebook with the malled dog. the world is very angry right now. they probably killed the dog because he is missing. they only got a 1150.00 dollar fine. it is very disturbing to see the facebook page. please help

Hello, i wonder if you could give me some advice?

My wife and I found a 1 year old Golden Retriever a few days ago in a lot of distress. She was callously abandoned by her owners on Saturday 19th of July outside Istanbul Modern. We found her tied to a post with her leash and left for hours without water. She was dying of dehydration. We simply couldn't bear to leave her there so we took her in. I have made contact with all the local Vets in the area but nobody has reported Ruby missing and she doesn't haver a microchip to trace her owners. We have have looked after her for a few days but unfortunately we cannot keep her for much longer as my wife and I work away.
So I am contacting you to try and find a new home for Ruby. She is typical of this wonderful breed in that she is very affectionate and loving. She is very laid back, very clean and has a beautiful shiny coat, never barks and is fully toilet trained...she even rolls over to make it easier to put her harness on!...she really is perfect.
In walking Ruby around Istanbul it is obvious just how popular she is as everybody stops to say hello to her (which she loves!) She has been a joy to look after and although we would be sad to see her go, we would be so happy to know that she was with someone who can give her as much love as she gives back.
Could you give me some advice on where I would perhaps start to try and find this lovely dog a permanent loving home?

Hello, me and a friend found a very ill cat on the street. It leg is broken. We went to a vet he said to go to Istanbul University because they don't have x-ray... We are a tourists and soon we have to leave Turkey. Please advise us what to do, we are in panic..... we will pay the expenses.

on Saturday afternoon in the bus park very near Sultanamhet there was a medium/large dog which had a bad injury to one of its hind legs. The leg was shaking badly and the dog could not put it down please look for it in case it has not had help. The dog is probably still in that area and will need treatment. I did not know who to contact for help when in Istanbul on Saturday. Thank you
