Doing the famous 4-day trek of Inca trail to Machu Picchu sounded too challenging to us. So, we decided to do just the last stretch of the classic Inca Trail instead, starting from Machu Picchu ruin, passing through Inti Punku (The Sun Gate) and eventually stop at the Wiñay Wayna ruin. The 10-mile roundtrip trek winds through beautiful stretches of trails, offering very different views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The hike itself was a mix of easy treks and steep climbs.
