Just before we caught out train heading back to Ollantaytambo, we took a short hike to Putukusi Mountain. Putukusi Mountain is the mountain opposite of Machu Picchu across the Urubamba River. Though we did not have the time to hike all the way up to the top to look at Machu Piocchu from there, we get to see a different perspective of Aquas Calientes from the trail. And, we get to climb up the rickety ladders and steep slopes just enough to feel it, and then quickly rushed back to the train station. We wished we have had more time to hike Putukusi Mountain, but we definetely have done enough hiking and were ready to head out!!!!! maybe next time .......
