We went to Peru mainly for Machu Picchu, which has just been voted to be one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. We have always wanted to visit Machu Picchu since the day we first read about it. We put it off for many years and finally decided we are ready! Poh Heng did an amazing job planning for the trip in 2-3 weeks.

Before we went, all we knew was just the Machu Picchu ruins. We did not know that Peru has so much more to offer. There are many other Inca ruins in the Cusco area. The mountain scenery is unbelievable breathtaking, and the food is mouth watering just thinking of them!

We visited the ancient Inca capital of Cusco, visited the lost city of Machu Picchu and the current capital of Peru, Lima. Being the most foreign country we have ever set our foot on, we were a little nervous, especially with the language. The trip turned out to be one of our favorites. The culture, the people, the sightseeing, the ancient ruins, the history are rich and simply fascinating.
