Border to Border trip from New Mexico to Alaska May 2011
* I started thinking about driving to Alaska about five years ago. The ultimate road trip. Drive from the bottom of the USA to the top into Canada & into Alaska. I rode in the back of a station wagon in the late '60s across the ALCAN now I wanted to do it again.
* The plan is to drive my '07 FJ Cruiser towing my M416 with a roof top tent. Staying with friends from NM to Calgary Canada.
* I asked a friend to go,I couldn't think of anyone else I would want to share this adventure with.
She's going to ride her 2010 650 V-Strom to Alaska with my FJ being the support vehicle along the way.
Change of plan ,she won't be going, maybe on the next adventure.
* I look at every camping trip I've taken, have planned as prep for this trip.
* I added a new rear bumper made by Aluminess, with swing out tire carrier & rack to hold three fuel cans or combination water/fuel.
