Catanduanes 2005

October 21 to 24, 2005. Catanduanes... home of a mythical wave. The fourth leg of the Philippine Surf Circuit. A local hero comes home to win. Congratulations to Martin Taniegra! Intermittent rains, heavy waves, one hole golf courses, patintero and life in a hammock. Props once again to the PSF, Pat "Worm" Mateo, Lui "540" Tortuya and all the local boys that charged that scary ass break.
Not a lot of good photos of wave action this time around. But you will kinda get an idea of how hairy that wave can get. Again, these are low res files. Hit me up for the high res versions and if you're nice, I might send them to you. Hehe.

in what time of the year does the big waves come? planning to go there in catanduanes and where is the exact location or the resort that has the great ol waves? hit me back, i'm a frustrated newbie surfing dude
