Was about to head for home when I heard an odd squeaking coming closer. "Two baby rabbits playing" was my first thought. Then I realized the second "rabbit" was a Long-tailed Weasel in hot pursuit of dinner. The kill took place perhaps 16 feet in front of me (any closer and I wouldn't have been able to focus)and was very quick. The weasel was slightly spooked by my camera clicking and retreated into the flowers so I backed up 6 - 8 feet and he quickly returned to drag off his dinner.
