In loving memory- Samwise, aka "Sammy"

April 1993- February 2007

He was a true, loyal, loving and brave friend. He was also stubborn, demanding, spoiled and could be a real pain in the butt. He had more personality than most people, and won over almost all "non-cat" people he met.

He helped me get through some of my worst times, and shared my joy through the best. As my first cat, he set the bar high for all others.

I will miss him terribly, although I know I was blessed to have him as long as I did. Thank you, God, for sharing him with me, for he was truly one of your angels.

I can mourn a loss for years when one goes. It never gets easier. But not having one around isn't easy either. No furball will ever replace Samwise, but there are excellent substitutes out there when the time is right again... and one decides to adopt you.

Anyone who has had and has lost pets to father time knows what you have gone through. But the old saying, "It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all" is so true. It is so tough to lose them but they do bring joy into one's life. Thank you for sharing.
