Portuguese Fortress (Qeshm Island)

This fortress was built by Alfonso de Albuquerque, a Portuguese sailor, in 1507 C.E in Qeshm Island, during domination of Portuguese on Persian Gulf. The castle which locates in north coast of island, was served as logestic supportive for Portuguese central fortress in Hormuz Island.
The castle destroyed during liberation of the Qeshm Island by Shah Abbas' troops in 1621 C.E.
