This seems to be an element from a series of historical scenes. It's quite interesting to see the variety of designs in the Persian carpets. I'm so impressed by the detail---the flowing water, the camels and the carefully captured building behind the travelers. You can even see the grass in the building's courtyard. What a splendid work of art.
