This trip is my grandson's 16th
birthday present. His desire to see our
nation's capital resulted in a road trip,
with stops in Savannah, GA and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
The flag that was immortalized by
Francis Scott Key's poem which later
became our national anthem was not on
display, as the Museum of American
History is under renovation,
but there's lots more to see in
Washington, as well as on the rest
of this spring 2007 road trip.
