Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge in Florida

...rain and no-see-ums didn't stop my grandson and me from going out
to Ding Darling yesterday for some birding and while we were there we saw


this American Alligator..

"no-see-ums " . . .GAWD how I HATE those things . . they are SOOOOO d*** tiny that screnned in porches matter not! In Cuba we called them "teeth" cuz it sure seemed like they had them! LOL!

What a cute fledgling birder! I love Ding Darling--I've only been there once. Would love to go back. I remember the roseate spoonbills the most.
