Wonderful, Mary. I was looking through this gallery - http://www.pbase.com/flydra/faroe_islands - from the Faroes, and noticed that grass roofs are quite common over there. (I think you'll enjoy this gallery, btw)

heheh, apparently parts of the new Scottish Parliament has a grass roof. I wonder if they will have some goats up there too...
