Wow- your high speed water drop images are the most beautiful I've ever seen. (Found them thanks to Huff Post). Well done! Inspiring perfection.

Simply loved your galleries. Your doggy is sho cute. You liquid drop pictures are amazing. I looked at the exif information to get a feel for the parameters but was curious what is a 'Stopshot"? How do you shoot these pictures? I would love to learn it from you.
Regards,
Jit

I loved your IR photos of Spring Grove Cemetery. They are gorgeous! Is IR a film technique or one that can be done digitally?

....we seem to have the same hobby. Must run in the kramer blood. Are we finished bashing now?

Hi Jim!

I've been away from Pbasse for a while but I'm hoping to shoot a bit in the next few months. I took a quick look at your site on smugmug and am going back to really absorb what you have been up to, especially the IR photography. Looks very cool! My wife went "Ooooohhh" and "Ahhhhhhh" at the first few images I pulled up!

Great work, Jim. You seem to have a very wide variety of photographic interests, as do I.

You should check out the Infrared Community forum @ http://irphotocom.proboards.com/index.cgi

Thank you for your kind comments on my galleries.

I often visit your site to admire the great images. I would have to say these are the finest collection of Cincinnati area photographs that I have viewed.

Hi Jim,
Thank you for the nice words about my balloon picture. It is a single image. I sat and waited for balloons to float close to it.

Hi Jim - Thanks for your comments the other week. I really like your IR stuff. I have dabbled with Ilford SFX 200 film which although processed normally gives an IR style effect when used with B&W film and a red filter, but unfortunately the line has been withdrawn. I have one roll left which I am saving for a copper-bottomed photo opportunity!

Thank you Jim for your comments and encouraegment. I have a converted Nikon D50 - Jim Chen did it for me. I am only just getting used to it - but it is great fun. I took a few classic shots in Florence at the weekend - which I will post soon.

I will look at your Galleries properly soon.

thanks John. I stopped by your galleries, and they are simply stunning. I was saddened to hear that you were planning to remove most of your work from PBase. Thanks for sharing it with us even if only temporarily. Cheers!

You do really nice work. I particularly like the b&w and IR galleries.

Thanks for your nice comments Jim. About the picture from Sydney. I'm sorry to say that it's not a single picture. It's Multi exposure. First exposure of the moon with a 300 mm and then the Sydney Harbour Bridge around 50mm. But considering I did it on a Minolta Film camera, I got quite lucky.

Anyway, thanks again for stopping and thanks for sharing your very nice work.

Cheers, René

Hey Jim,
thanks for the meggage and the comments the other day. You've got some great work up here and I am honored that you're the first person to reach out to me at Pbase. I was woundering if you had any tips on how to use this site as a photo sharing site. I've seen some great talent here but I am new and not sure how to manuver the pages effectively.
Anyway, drop me a word when you get a chance and I hope all is well in Ohio.
Wayne.
