These images were taken during a recent trip to Myanmar in Feb. and March of this year.
I tried to capture the essence of how Burma effected me.

A wonderful gallery.
The pictures are from the technical point of view perfect.
But most important the scenes on the pictures are just great. You made interesting pictures of humans in a wonderful and respectful way. You made them with respect for those people. This is visible.

Hi John,
Your photoes reminded my countries. Great shot. You seem like to take Hair cut pictures. Did you have a hair cut ? In Rangoon, you can get a hair cut and ear wax cleaning also in the old day.

Wonderful, rich, evocative, stunning images.

A forgotten people it seems, but full of dignity and plenty of warmth and smiles.

I can only imagine the senses and smells and sites you must have experienced. But the quality of your photography makes it easier to imagine.

John ... It's been a pleasure to browse your Myanmar gallary. Your National Geographic shots -- the Temple silhouette (DSC_64391), the Boatman (DSC_7423), and the close-up portraits -- were alone worth the trip. The rest of it was a bonus.
