These images were taken during the Durango Highway leg of our fall 2005 driving tour across Mexico. Here you have only a small fraction of the diversity of wildlife to be found in this area. What an amazing area for wildlife viewing and photography! If you ever make it to this part of Mexico, may we suggest an overnight stay in the town of Copala, and at least one outing to the Panuco Road locality made famous by birders, which lies just up the highway from Copala.
