May 7, 2008 AT ENSLEY BOTTOMS Pit # 5 Wilson's Phalaropes

Quick lunchtime romp through the south wastewater plant provided good views of alot of shorebirds. Spent 35 minutes watching this one pair feeding and courting. All told there were 11 Wilson's Phalaropes on the big pit scattered amongst the L Yel Legs, Pectoral SP , Stilt SP's, Least SP's, Blk Necked Stilts. Est a total of about 1100-1500 birds through the back half of the property.
