Antelope Canyon

I had heard that the Antelope Canyon, one of the most picturesque spots in the world, was beautiful like a samari- tan's soul and majestic like a gypsy's eyes.

Antelope Canyon is near Page, Arizona, on the southern end of Lake Powell, which is the home of a dozen canyons; enclosed deserts that stretch for miles, lifeless and dry. Upper Antelope Canyon, which is also known as the Corkscrew and most easily accessible slot canyon near Page, measures a quarter mile long and 130 feet deep. This was not merely a canyon. It was a separate breathing world with its own distinct soil, sky and spirit. Once there, you could feel its spirit seep into your pores and run rampant in your blood. Its sensuously sculpted walls twist and wind along, glowing in unbelievable shades of red, orange, and yellow as the sun passes overhead. The only sky, which I saw was a thin strip 30 ft above my head, was slim, delicate and young...
