New York City, the heart of American capitalism with all what it symbolizes, has gone through visible and invisible changes since the 11/9 terrorist attack. A heightened sense of insecurtiy is palpable in every public place. The city has nonetheless retained its dynanism and the will to move on. It is renwewing itself and regaining its confidence as the crucilbe of talents from different races and nations who still see it as the place to fulfill their American dreams. The streets are made cleaner and safer. No matter what one might think of it, there is only one New York City in the world.
