Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International airport we transferred to the excellent Mountain Village Lodge for the night and I had a great time chasing sunbirds etc.in the wonderful gardens,cursing myself for not bringing my tripod.Next morning it was off to Tarangire National Park and the Tarangire Safari Lodge,another excellent lodge.My first night was disturbed by two elephants who seemed to be holding a flatulence contest right outside my tent.This was my first trip to Tarangire,a very good park for birds and elephants.
