Iceland 2005

Two weeks in the land of ice and fire with Island Holidays (www.islandholidays.net).Thanks to Malcolm Stott and Alastair Crowle for their guiding and driving,and to my fellow travellers,Kitty,James and Joy,Hugh and Rosemary,Jane,Cathrine,Paddy,June,Alan and Stephanie,and Diana,for their company and encouragement.The gear:Nikon D2H and Fuji S3 Pro bodies;Nikkor AFS II 500mm f4 ED,AFS VR 200-400mm f4 G,AFS VR 70-200mm f2.8 G,Nikkor TC 17E II and TC 14E II,Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 EX DC,12-24mm EX HSM,Tamron 180mm SP Di Macro lenses;Gitzo 1227 mk.2 tripod with Kirk King Cobra head;Crumpler and Lowepro bags;Acer laptop.Despite the often inclement weather,(and breaking my S3),this was a very enjoyable trip.Iceland is a strange and beautiful place,and top-notch for bird photography.Hope you like the shots I got.
