A journey into the heart of Guyana with Naturetrek(www.naturetrek.co.uk).Many thanks to Colin Crooke for his guiding and expertise,to my fellow trekkers-Peter W.,Peter C.,Geoff and Lin,John and Audrey,John C.,and Allen-for their companionship, and to all of the staff and guides at the places we stayed for their help and hospitality.Weight restrictions meant a minimum of gear:Nikon D2H and Fuji S3 Pro bodies;Nikkor 200-400mm f4 AFS G VR,70-200mm f2.8 AFS G VR,TC17E,Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 EX DC,and Tamron 90mm SP macro lenses,Manfrotto monopod and head;LowePro bags. While enjoyable this trip wasn't easy for me photographically-especially as my portable hard drive wouldn't work, and I broke my D2H towards the end,and how I wished I had my 500mm f4 and a stable tripod! Some of the pics of birds aren't up to much, but the subjects are pretty rare and I've included them for the record.
Hi Tim,
Thanks very much for the comment.Glad you enjoy the pics.
Best wishes,Pete

Hi Peter
Always love to visit your galleries whenever I have a slow boring day at work. They are a great escape and this gallery is no exception. Really like the anteaters and the eagle but all are great.
Hi there,I wasn't very happy with the way pictures looked on pbase when the originals were posted-the compression method they use? I read that the shapness and general look of shots was better if the longest side was reduced to 800 pixels and I think it does help.Hence no more originals posted.
Best wishes,Pete
