On September 15th we had a real hard frost (22F) that pretty much took care of a lot of annuals and other plants - the gardens have a sad look. A reminder fall is coming. Many trees are already turning color and a lot of songbirds have left. One stubborn hummingbird remains in the greenhouse and I wonder if she knows it's time to leave....
