Three days and three nites on a live aboard Anaconda III - a 102ft mega yacht! She's the largest on the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef. ( http://www.anacondasailing.com/)
Thirty guests and eight crew made this sailing adventure amazing! (despite the not-so-perfect weather the first two days). I did two dives but not able to find Nemo just yet. We did however, see Prisciila an enormous maori wrasse and supposedly Elvis was around as well.
Meals were great and I've earned my sea legs all the while avoiding the dreaded spoonful of vegemite! (a threat if we didn't sign in and out when we got off the boat - they were fearful of leaving some Americans behind). Due to stinger season (deadly jellyfish - remember, everything in Australia bites) we had to wear the oh-so-sexy stinger suits (ergo, my Halloween costume). I helped raise some of the sails and even learned about the mizzen among other parts of the vessel! But mainly I was there to soak up the sun!
The adventure is not complete with out the well-knowledgable, responsible and "social" crew! Asher, Mick, Ryan, Spartacus, Matt, Anthony, Lee, and Skipper Mike (who, incidentally resembled captain stubing!)
