Following three days and nites out at sea, I stayed two nites in Airlie Beach - tag line reads: A Drinking Town With A Sailling Problem! ( http://www.airliebeach.com/). The guests and crew had dinner at Reefos (shots and all) and then I ventured into the bars in town with some of the crew - needless to say, I was probably the oldest person out (I'm 28 y'know).

I stayed to watch the Melbourne Cup and luckily I didn't bet as the horse I chose (Media Puzzle) didn't even place - (although I found out later it did win two years ago). Mykayve Diva (sp) was victorious two years running - and sadly the weather down in Melbourne was torrential downpour which forced me to move further north for clearer skies!
