Candy Sculpture at the FRA Convention in Orlando
One of the many candy sculptures displayed at the Florida Restuarant Assocation Convention in Orlando, Florida. Unfortunately there were numerous idiots around who just HAD to destroy some of the sculptures by 'playing' with them. We even witnessed one moron stick her nose down on a cake to sniff it - messing it up even further.
Parrots at the Brevard Zoo
These are some of the beautiful birds commonly on display at the Brevard Zoo located in Viera, Florida.
Gavin at Mini-Golf
Which one.... which one....
Sunrise over the Cocoa Beach Pier
Taken from the south side of the pier.
REPOST - La Grande, WA Post Office
More playing around... I don't know why, but the trim color of the building (which was more 'rust' color than anything) turned a wierd purple, so I spent a little while tweaking it to make it look more accurate.
Early Morning at the Cocoa Beach Pier
I decided, after getting to the pier too late in the morning yesterday, to strike out early this morning. I took about 160 photos over the course of an hour. I've yet to sift through them all, so please keep tuned!!
Day at the Cocoa Beach Pier
Just a bit of playing around in Photoshop. I didn't really care much for the photo itself (probably go earlier to get the sunrise instead of the harsh light).
Mural - Murdocks in Cocoa Village
This is another 'Coca-Cola' mural done by Eric J. Wood, a local artist who does some pretty amazing murals (many, many are Coke themed). This one is located on Brevard Ave. in Cocoa Village, FL (one block north of the Black Tulip mural). Another of Eric's murals is featured earlier in this gallery.
The Black Tulip Mural - Cocoa Village
This is a restored mural (done in 2003) that is on the outside wall of the Black Tulip Restaurant in historic Cocoa Village, Florida. The restoration was done by Robyn Tryk-Mous.
Italian Restaurant Mural
This is a mural that can be found on the west side of the Hwy US 1 and Eau Gallie Blvd intersection in the Eau Gallie district of Melbourne, Florida. There used to be an Italian restaurant at this location, but that was many many years ago. The mural remained but was hidden from view by the fence around the old Townsend Tire store which was recently torn down.
A Coca-Cola mural behind the 7-Eleven in Indian Harbor Beach, Florida. The mural was painted on the outside wall at the end of a strip mall. I believe it was painted for the store that used to occupy that last shop - a Doubles sandwich shop.
Update (Nov 08): This mural has been painted over. It's kinda sad that it's gone. It was, in my opinion, a great feature of the building. Recently, the owners of the little plaza decided to renovate and this was one of the first things to go.
Mural - Satellite Beach
I've decided to photograph the murals around my area. There are actually quite a few. This mural painting is on the end of a strip-mall on South Patrick Drive in Satellite Beach, Florida.
