Lifeguard Tower - Biscayne Bay
This is at the COUNTY park, not the national park. We unfortunately got to the National Park too late to get in, which is a shame because we were looking forward to glimpsing the lights of Miami from across the bay. Another time maybe.
Last Light - Sunset over Clearwater
Looking west towards Clearwater, Florida from Rocky Point (along the Courtney Campbell Causeway, near Tampa Int'l). The contrails of an airliner can be seen in the upper right.
Sunset from Tampa
The 'beach' at sunset at the Sailport Resort in Tampa, Florida.
Christmas Tree at Downtown Disney
We visited the tourist trap that is Downtown Disney. It's the nightlife hot spot for Disney World resort patrons, as well as for folks to buy Disney souvenirs in bulk (it's the Sam's Club of the theme park world).
Ah well, it's still fun to go to. Just like Gatlinburg... Pigeon Forge... Estes Park...
Tunnel of Lights - Playing with the Lense
I zoomed out while taking a picture of the light tunnels along Desoto Parkway in Satellite Beach, FL.
Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree...
Our Christmas tree...
At least until the cats get a hold of it.
Christmas Chandelier at Mall at Milennia
One of several such light fixtures on display this holiday season at the Mall at Milennia in Orlando.
Up the Eau Gallie River
As taken from the US 1 overpass in Melbourne, Florida.
Boeing Delta 4 Heavy Launch from Launch Complex 37B
The first launch of a Delta 4 Heavy in nearly three years. The rocket carried a Defense Support Program satellite into orbit. In the foreground are the lights of the Eau Gallie Causeway in Melbourne, Florida at a location approximately 30 miles from the launch pad.
Church at Sunset
The Episcopalian Church in Satellite Beach, Florida.
Atlas V Launch - Wideband Global Satcom
The Atlas V launch Wednesday night as seen from the beach near the Cocoa Beach Pier (foreground). The rocket, powered by a Russian-made kerosene/LO2 engine, placed a military communications satellite into orbit.
