The water literally jetted up from the seams between the hydraulic ramp and the floor. This door faces the Atlantic which is only about 200 yards away. Except for the destroyed Garden Center, some slight flooding of the stockroom and some fallen sections of drop-ceiling on the salesfloor, the BX faired well. The part of the building that I am responsible for, the computer and network equipment room, received no damage at all. Thank God that we are moving most of our apps to frames in Dallas, TX - the IBM RISC box and the disk arrays and tape library weigh a freakin' ton and required us to lift them off the floor!
