Ominous.
Looks like the birds knew what we didn't.

I like the turbulent sky and how the birds seemed to be buffeted about. The diagonal lines and shadows add to the tension. Very dramatic.

I like the colour of the sky, and the way you have composed the photo with the three parts of wires, clear sky and treetops (or bushes).

It is good to be back and see your images again, Jenene. This is a haunting photograph. My eye goes to the hole in the sky -- the glaring burned out place where the sun must live. Only the sun is not the sun here. That searing white hole in the sky seems to be sucking these birds from their perches on the wires to another place, far, far away. The color adds to the surreal nature of this image.

It seems that the birds are totally disoriented from the wind and oncoming storm. That (the oncoming storm) is what is ominous about this image. The storm has clearly not yet arrived.

it looks to me as if something kicked the birds out from resting..the contrast and tones are wonderful..

I like this a lot... the birds are moving, the sky is moving - it reminds me of a watercolor that is still wet, the colors moving, finding their place on the paper

There is something very ominous about this. Could there be a carcass in the field?

It is as if the birds were manhandled by the storm. I really like how you have composed this image, with the repeated lines along the diagonal. The exposure is perfect.

!Fantastic Jenene. I love the transluscent glow of the sky. It lends an energy to the scene. the wires are a touch of genius...who will perch first? ;-))K

The birds, the sky, and the dark tones give this an ominous feeling! You were right not to clone out the lines, they balance the composition nicely!
