I am so very much enjoying your galleries! Glad you found me so I could find you. And yes, I'm thrilled to now be working with Phil D. I can see how his input has spurred you to taking glorious "chances."

When I must fold away the day,
Please let me hesitate,
And hold one corner open,
Carefully prying the shadows,
So as not to disturb
The illumination from your kindness
Which will warm the velvet hours ahead.

Brilliant to see this, Jenene...an excellent composition, and the light in that lamp is just mesmerizing!

Awesome light play.

Every time I see the name of that camera I think of Be Bop DeLuxe!

The color is indeed very special, Jenene -- it is typical of the "Leica look." However the most powerful aspect of this image is the incongruous shift in perspective -- the dual tones on the wall make us think that we are looking at the corner of a building, yet the lamp fixture appears flat, a surprising place for a shadow. Even more astounding is the amazing glow coming from within the shadow. The wideangle lens instensifies the effect. It is an image that confounds our expectations, and make us see the ordinary in an extraordinary way.
