At first I thought, what an action shot of "bird lifting off after bath." To find that this is an imprint on a window makes it amazing, and prompts me to wonder if it had been playing in white paint just prior to impact. What a fine halucination this is!

My goodness. What an image. Disturbing and yet fascinating. I am glad he few away safely. He must have some headache though.

A phenomenal image. I have seen plenty on the same subject, but this is officially the best (and most disturbing) I have ever seen. Great Jenene. K

Wow!! Yes.. it would be almost impossible to know what this was unless we read your caption. At first I thought it was some water action, but after reading your words... the image definitely transformed itself and aquired sound and it became eerie but also fantastic.
Great capture.

What a compelling image! It is an example of the artistic eye and mind to take a relatively common occurrence and make a haunting and beautiful image. At first I though it was competing hoses throwing water at each other - (I'm glad that your caption lets us know that the bird flew away.)

In many respects, this is one of your most unsettling images. Your style seeks beauty, but in this case, you have found the opposite in a truly violent impression. And that is what makes it even more incongruous. We come to expect a certain kind of image from expressive photographers, images consistent with their style, with how they think and see. You shock me with this one, Jenene. And you learn something in the process. Work against the grain, and you may discover another side of your own vision.

To hear the thud, walk in to investigate and find this was very strange. From across the room it did, indeed, look as if the bird was suspended in front of my window. When I realized this was the impression he left, well, it was a very eerie feeling.

It almost seems as if the bird is still there, smashing into your window. It leaves us with an incongruous abstraction. We can almost hear it smashing into your window. Amazing, Jenene.
