There are many small businesses that operate on the perimeter of the World Trade Center construction site. The Essex, like many others, served as a first aid station during the horrific events of September 11, 2001. You'll find many of those establishments hang this Flag of Honor along with photos of first responders who sacrificed everything to save lives. The construction worker in the background, takes his lunch break from work on the rebuilding project.
