I wanted to experiment with HDR a little and I found a cool spot locally where the sun peeked through a tree in a field that was draped with Spanish Moss. I didn't like the results of that series of hand held shots so I went back out yesterday with the tripod and tried to find the same spot. I didn't, but I did find a similar spot where the sun had un-obstructed reach through a field to a copse of trees.
The wind was blowing pretty good and I was concerned how moving leaves would come out in a multi-exposure HDR so I used the 8 fps capability of the 7D to take the exposure bracketed shots as quickly as possible. That and the distance seems to have helped though the shots aren't as sharp as I'd like.
I used Picturenaut 3.0 to create the HDR and then to tone-map them back down to a displayable image.
