The 850 seat Colonial Theater was located at 84 Middlesex St. in the Odd Fellows building. It was opened in 1911 by the Colonial Theater Corporation. In 1917 the Crown theatre was built in the lot next door. The Colonial operated until 1925. The existing building thought to be constructed on the site of the Odd Fellows building appears to be the original structure though heavily renovated.
